This article will walk you through the process of adding a block off in ezyVet. Once the block-off is placed, the particular slot will not be available for online booking in Vetstoria.
The following steps will guide you through the process of adding a block-off:
1. First click on Dashboard
2. Next, select the date and time you wish to add the block off time for. For example if you wish to create a block off for a late, lunch you can click on the date and time under the relevant clinician.
Once you click on the slot, this this should take you to a screen similar to the below.
3. Under the appointment type section type in the word "block" and a drop down will automatically appear. Here you can select Blockoff.
4. You will also need to fill in the reason for appointment and then click on save & close
5. Once this is done, the block off will appear under the clinic's calendar like below.
How to set up a recurring block-off?
If you wish to create a recurring block-off for specific times and dates for a set period, follow the steps below.
1. Once you click on a time slot you wish to add the recurring block-off for and enter relevant details. Click on save.
2. Once the details have been saved, a screen similar to the below will appear with additional tabs
3. Click on Recurrence
4. After you click on Recurrence , a screen similar to the below will appear. This is where you will need to specify how often should the recurrence takes place on a weekly basis. When it comes to the End by date, please note that you must specify an End by date (e.g. - once every week) in order for Vetstoria to recognize the block-offs in the future.
5. Once you have set up the recurrences, click on save recurrence.
7. Now when you go forward in time on the calendar and click a later day, you will notice the recurrence appearing on the clinician's calendar with the recurrence icon.
Note: The best way to find the original place where the recurrence block-off was created is to check for the block-off which does not have the recurrence icon.
Also, please avoid adding clinicians under the same block-off as a recurrence through the "People/ Resources Uses" section as this may not reflect on the calendars properly
