How to set up Multi-Clinician in ezyVet

This article will walk you through the process of setting up the multi-clinician feature using $$ codes. The Vetstoria Multi-clinician feature allows clinic to  allow pet owners to select their preferred veterinarian and to pick slots when they are available.


Create a new appointment type


1. Click on Admin and on the left-hand side dropdown select Settings.




2. Then select Appointment Types.



3. Wait for the New Appointment Type screen to load as below.



4. Ensure that all ‘Properties’ on the Appointment type are disabled



5. Set the default length to match the slot size being used.



6.  Enter the relevant details and click on save.


The name does not need to be specific, but we would suggest using something like ‘Vetstoria Schedule’ or ‘Note’.




PIMS Configuration


1. Double-click on a time slot and wait till the New Appointment tab is opened as below. 



2.  Select Vetstoria Schedule as the appointment type and under the reason for appointment text area, enter the $$code. Click on the save & close button.



3. Go to the calendar and check under calendar name, the $$code will be displayed.



This code will need to be added for each doctor/clinician for each day/shift in the diary. When a vet's shift ends and there is no vet taking over, you will have to block these slots off manually, either using a block off, or another code $$STOP


If the shift changes to a new doctor, the new doctor code will stop the previous shift and start the new one.


We identify each "code" into your Vetstoria platform and associate a doctor name to it.
