There are three ways in which you can capture or notify your new clients to complete any additional information prior to their consultation once they complete a booking. This article will walk you through each method.
Prerequisite
You will need to make sure that pet owners can indicate if they are a new client or a returning client in the booking process as shown below.
If this is not enabled for you, please contact us on support@vetstoria and our support team will have this enabled for you.
Method 1 - New Client Form (Easy)
Vetstoria has a new client form which is displayed at the end of the clients booking process. You can find out how to enable this here: How to enable the New Client Form
Method 2 - Add Information to the Confirmation Emails
Creating an Appointment type for New Clients
- Create an appointment type and ensure that Included for is New Clients Only. Under the message included in the Email Confirmation, include a message with a link directing the pet owner to complete a form or to a page on your website. For example:
- Prior to your consultation please complete the form available on https://abcvets.com/newclientform
3. Now once a new client books an appointment using this particular appointment type, the message will be shown on the confirmation email they receive upon completion of the booking as highlighted in red below:
Method 3 - Booking Redirection
Redirecting the Pet-Owner to complete a form once the booking has been completed.
Vetstoria offers an advanced feature that can redirect the pet owner to your own website to continue their booking process.
With this feature, the Vetstoria 'Your Booking Is Complete' page is skipped, and the pet owner lands on your specified website URL instead.
where once a new client (or even a returning client) completes the booking, they will be redirected to a form or web page of your choice.
If you wish this to be implemented, please email support@vetstoria with the link you would like your new clients to be re-directed to upon completion of booking an appointment.
Top Tip
Ensure that the page you create, also states that "Your booking has been scheduled" to ensure that there is a seamless transition from the booking platform to the new client form upon completion of the booking,
There are two ways in which you can set this up
- If you're using a form embedded on your web page to obtain new client information, include a message here that lets your clients know that their appointment has gone through thus creating a seamless transition from the online booking platform to the web page. An example wireframe can be seen below:
- If you prefer to use a google form, please follow the instructions which are available here. Once you create the form, please share the link with us so we can embed this for you.
If you have any questions or if you need further help, please login to Vetstoria to chat with our team or use the Contact Support form linked at the top of this page.
