This article will walk you through how to use the due date of vaccination with iRecall reminders to effectively prioritise the appointment availability they see in Vetstoria Digital Marketing by creating 'Rules'
Overview
Based on when their vaccination is due, whether future dated, or overdue, Vetstoria will control and restrict the availability a pet owner sees.
For example; those who are most overdue will see sooner availability than someone who is upcoming.
This is achieved by using the Digital Marketing feature, each 'Campaign'link is configured to be a specific "Rule" with its own settings to prioritise the availability the pet owner sees.
Pre-Requisites
- iRecall to be using Smartlink integrations with your account.
- Need to be using iRecall for your vaccination reminders
- Request Vetstoria to create the Digital Marketing Rules on your platform. (see below)
How do I get vaccination labels enabled?
1) Email support on [email protected] with the subject line: Accommodate Overdue iRecall Reminders
2) One of our amazing team members will then enable and set up the necessary labels and booking links for you.
3) Follow the directions below to enable your booking links. If you get stuck at any point during this, please do reach out to our support teams
What will Vetstoria do?
Add the logic behind your platform with iRecall to process the reminders
Create the initial 'Digital Marketing' Campaing entries (Rules) for you linked to these labels.
(These will be 'inactive', allowing you to configure them how you need.)
What will you need to do?
Once Vetstoria has done the initial set up for you, these are the two things you need to do in order to be up and running.
- Configure your Digital Marketing Links to adjust them to any specific availability you want.
For instance:
- Gap to earliest available slot
- Reserved slot count
- Specific Calendars to schedule into
- Specific Slot Exclusions (such as certain days, times etc) - Enable your Digital Marketing Links
I have my labels and links set up - what next?
You have everything in place, including using iRecall and you have your Digital Marketing links created along with the labels.
Now you just need to:
- Configure the Campaign Links
- Enable the Campaign Links
How to configure the Campaign Links
First, you'll need to 'Edit' each of the Digital Marketing Links to specify the availability and how a pet owner is allowed
to schedule an appointment.
- Go to the Digital Marketing section on your platform
- You will see camping links, similar to below, created for you which will be set to Inactive by default as shown below:
- For each link you will need to check and adjust settings.
- On each link, far right, look for the 'Pencil' Edit Icon and click this.
Edit
b. Then configure the Digital Marketing Link as you need.
Follow the directions in this KB Article on exactly what you can configure: How to configure Digital Marketing Links
- On each link, far right, look for the 'Pencil' Edit Icon and click this.
Warning:
- Link Availability and Slot Availability must be set to default as once the limit is expired or slot availability is in the past, the pet owner will not see any availability and will not be able to book.
- The Appointment Limit should be set to 0 (default) as once the limit is exceeded, no available slots will be shown to the pet owner and they are prevented from booking.
How to enable the Campaign Links.
- For each link, go into Edit
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings
- Turn on the toggle for Active as shown below.
- Save your changes.
- Repeat for all of your Vaccination Overdue Links.
Once the above has been done the link should show as Active
