This article helps you understand the workarounds for Coloured/ Emergency Slots & Client Mismatching on Vetspace Merlin.


Workaround for coloured/emergency slots.


Colours that are used to indicate 'Emergency Slots' in the Vetspace Merlin practice management system are not identified by Vetstoria however it will present these slots for online booking. In order to prevent Vetstoria from displaying these slots, we would recommend you add a 'Block off' on Vetspace Merlin or add a 'slot exclusion' to prevent the coloured slots from being available on Vetstoria. Below is an example of how coloured/emergency slots are being used on Vetspace Merlin:



Workaround for optimizing client matching with Vetstoria.


There are instances where appointments do not get matched with an existing client/patient file, the reason for this occurrence is due to the client/patient details being saved to a single site. As show below, the records are saved to 'Esher'



For the above to not occur, the client records would need to be saved to 'all' sites as shown below.



In the event of all the details not matching due to spelling errors causing an immediate mismatch, the workaround is to manually match the existing file with the actual record. Please refer to the following screenshot below:
