This article will help you add any holiday dates to your calendar when your clinic will be closed, or you when are on a team-building day so no bookings can be made on those particular dates.
The following will guide you through the steps of adding a "Holiday".
Step 1 - Access the Advanced Settings
Login to your Vetstoria Dashboard, and navigate to the Holidays tab by clicking on
Settings > Advanced Settings > Holidays.
Step 2 - Add Holidays
You have two options to Add Holidays
- Automatically via the 'Import Holidays' for a particular year
- Manually via the 'Add New Holiday' button
Step 2.1 Import Holidays
Importing holidays allows you to bulk populate your holiday table with all the holidays for a particular year, you can then go and remove or adjust the ones you wish.
Step 2.1.1 To import holidays for a year, click the drop down on the Import Holidays button.

Vetstoria will then populate your tool with all the known holidays for your country.
Step 2.1.3 You can now amend the description if required by clicking in the description box
Or, if you wish remove the holiday, you can do so by clicking the X at the end of the row.

Manually Adding Holidays
To manually add a holiday, click the Add New Holiday button at the bottom left of the screen
Clicking Add New Holiday will give you a new line in your booking tool for you to configure
Click into the From Date and To date fields to edit the date/ date range of the holiday(s) using the date selectors
You can edit the Description to name the holiday you are entering, for example, Staff Training Day.
As before, if you need to Remove a manually added Holiday, use the X at the end of the row.
If a specific clinician is unavailable on a certain date, the Clinician option could be used to select the relevant clinician that the holiday needs to be applied to.
3. Lets not forget to save!
Remember, once you have made any changes, to click the Save Changes button, or Reset to clear your screen.
