Overview:
In AVImark - many clinics use the 'Patient Medical Alert box' to record information about whether the patient is aggressive or has other issues that need to be considered when treating the patient.
As a result, these are patients that often need to be scheduled with specific considerations in mind that Vetstoria cannot handle, and clinics would rather have these patients book over the phone, so appropriate measures are taken to facilitate their care.
Using the SyncVet connector, if a patient has a medical alert, and is attempting to book an appointment online, the pet owner will be asked to contact the practice instead to schedule their appointment.
Locating the ‘Patient Medical Alert Box’ on AVImark:
- Open the Patient Record
- Right-click the patient, and go to Alerts
- Tick the box that says 'Medical Alert'
- You can add notes to say what it's about, but not essential to the function - the checkbox is.
Note:
The client must provide an email address or phone number that is on record (i.e in the client file), we then use the mentioned email address/phone number to match the record on AVImark and trigger this function.
Enabling the Setting on Vetstoria:
Please contact support@vetstoria.com, and our team will enable this setting on your account.
