The following article provides instructions to help customise referring email templates.
Referral Vet templates are only available on 'Specialist' (Referral) OABP platforms.
Vetstoria's email templates allow you to customise the specific emails being sent to the referring vet when an appointment is booked.
How do 'referral' notifications work, who gets them, and when?
1. Select either "I'm a Vet" or "I'm a Pet Owner."
2. Right after providing all the pet owner information and going through the booking journey, you will be asked to provide the referral's information.
3. Two things happen once you complete the booking journey and book the appointment.
1. An appointment confirmation email goes to the pet owner.
2. The referred vet also receives an email confirming the appointment with the pet owner.
When an appointment is booked through the Vetstoria booking tool, whether by a pet parent or a vet from your clinic, the referring vet will automatically receive an email with the booking details.
These emails include fully editable templates for appointment confirmation, rescheduling, and cancellations, ensuring seamless communication throughout the referral process.
Accessing the editable email templates
To access your email templates, follow the below steps
1. Head on over to settings
2. Click on 'Email Template'
3. Select the 'Referring Vet' tab.
Editing the email templates
Editing the email templates is easy. All you need to do is add the required field within double curly brackets into the email template.
For example, if you want to add the appointment type to the email below, you will need to open curly brackets and copy paste the required field from the column on the right side, and close double curly brackets.
Once you add the field into the curly brackets, the field on the right side column should turn green.
Make sure you scroll to the bottom and click on 'save changes'.
