Setting up Stax Payments

This article will walk you through how to set up Stax payments and collect payments from pet owners. Please note that only the admin of your Vetstoria account can perform this process. If you encounter any issues setting up this feature, feel free to contact our support team at [email protected]


Pre-Requisites

1. Please ensure the currency is set to ‘USD’. The currency needs to be updated to USD in two locations within your Vetstoria account.
a. Clinic Edit > Billing 




b. Clinic > Admin Settings > Features > Local Currency. 



To authenticate your clinic to use Stax, the following details are required:


1. Web Payments Token 

2. Merchant API Key 


These can be found on your Stax account.



After adding the Web Payments Token and Merchant API Key to your Vetstoria account as shown below, be sure to click "Save Changes."



Known Limitations 


Please note that only ‘Fixed Fee’ payments are supported, and Pre-Authorizations are not. 


Additionally Payment checkout flows are not supported. 


This means the clinic cannot check out a ‘No Payment Required’ appointment type or  ‘Pre-auth Mandatory’ appointment type.
