This article explains how your clinic can configure your working days and hours which dictates when the Chat console accepts chats.
Configuring Business Hours
1. On the navigation panel to the left of the screen there is a Gear/settings icon, which when clicked opens up to the Business Hours tab.
2. You can then tick the days and hours your clinic will be available online for communication, be Web, SMS or WhatsApp.
3. Unticking a day implies that chatting is unavailable and the widget is disabled on the Clinic website.
4. By default all start times will be 09:00 and all end times will be 18:00.
Once all changes are made, the user can either save changes via the “Save” button or revert them back to the default state by clicking the “Reset” button.
Online/Offline Toggle
You can set the chat to offline for an unspecified period. This feature is designed for instances when the chat cannot accept messages during your clinic's working hours, such as during breaks or medical emergencies.
At the top of the screen, a toggle switch is displayed. When enabled, it shows an "Online" status, allowing messages to be received in the chat. To disable this feature, the toggle must be moved to the "Offline" status. The chat will not accept messages until the toggle is manually re-enabled.
If your is offline and out of working hours, a banner will indicate your offline status will be displayed on the chat window. If your clinic has set up SMS and/or WhatsApp services, the pet owner will be able to message your clinic regardless of whether the web chat is online or not. However, if web chat is the only mode of communication provided, the pet owner will be unable to reach your clinic.
