How can I create a unique booking link for social media (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) or other channels?

Modified on Thu, 24 Aug 2023 at 01:07 PM

This article will help you create additional unique booking links you can use in social media or other places which can be easily tracked in your Vetstoria analytics.

Creating your own unique booking URLs for additional social media platforms is really easy. These links will also show up in your Analytics account, just as all other links, so you can gauge performance.

You can create as many links as you like for the different client touch points you may have!

Navigate to your 'Settings' and 'Other' under Integrations.

To add a new URL line, click the ' + Add Link' located at the top right

Enter the Name you wish to give the link and also select the Category of the link

Notes:

  • The Name field is required and has to be unique.
  • The Name is not presented to your clients at any point during the booking process, this is purely for your reference.
  • The Label field is currently not used for any tracking within the application and can be ignored.
  • Make sure to select the right Category for your link

Once you have entered the name, click 'Save Changes' to generate your URL.

You now have your unique URL, use the shortcut Copy button to copy the URL to your clipboard to paste into any of your social media platforms.

Adding the unique URL's to your social media platforms:

Instagram

You can add the unique URL onto the bio section of your Instagram profile

LinkedIn

On LinkedIn you can add your unique URL by going to the edit page section and adding it onto the custom button section.

Twitter

You can add your unique URL in the 'edit profile' section of your Twitter profile.

Analytics

Below you can see the link showing in your Analytics Origin section. This shows that a client has used the link, but has dropped out in the booking process.

How to Deactivate a Link

Once a link has been created, it cannot be deleted. However, you can Deactivate it.

Click the 'Active' switch on the link of the URL you wish to deactivate, and click 'Save Changes'

To Reactivate, again, click the Active switch and click 'Save Changes'
